Part of the 6 Short Films Project
A lonely space-trucker drops acid to pass the long hours between drop-offs. An unexpected visitor probes his fragile brain for information, but can the pilot sober up and save himself before the visitor gets what it needs?
Shot over two days in an abandoned warehouse on a deserted Naval base, ADT was our most ambitious shoot. We shot on HD (the Sony CineAlta HDW-F900), rented a large greenscreen and built an entire spaceship set.
Aaron put up with a lot from our make-up department. His mouth was completely covered making it difficult to breath during the hot June weather but also making it next to impossible to communicate with anyone outside of broad hand gestures. Made for a fun weekend! The movie is now in editing (Matt's handling those chores as well) on a Final Cut Pro system.
Special thanks to Dan Iverson at Sand Point Magnuson, the City of Seattle, Seattle Scenic Studios, Scott Dierdorf, Ian Saunders and Insight Creative, Kevin Inouye, Pacific Grip & Lighting and Safway Scaffolding.
