WHO ARE WE?
GadZook Films has been around in various incarnations since Dom was in high school. Here's your chance to see who a few of the principals are.
| DOM ZOOK

As president and CEO of GadZook Films Dom is responsible for managing all elements of GadZook Films' projects. Dom's creative vision defines the composition of the slate of projects undertaken by GadZook Films, and he has served as producer or executive producer on various projects including the feature Muffed by Pastry, and short films such as Hot Crotch Duggins, Hook Her, and The 6 Short Films Project , as well as the local television show “The Night Shift.” Dom served as president of the Seattle-chapter of independent film organization Indieclub, overseeing a local base of over 7000 filmmakers. He continues to be active in the local film community with active memberships at the Northwest Film Forum, 911 Media and IFP. Dom stole the wording of this bio from Vulcan Films.

SARAH RUSSELL

Sarah's wanderlust has found her and her family in Boulder CO since 2004 and mans the Rocky Mountain office for GadZook Films. When not in the office, Sarah can be found rummaging, gutting and remodeling her ‘66 Airstream, which someday, she hopes to call home along Mexico's Batopilas River Valley for obvious mountain biking and zenning out on yoga. She has been with GadZook Films since it's inception as Empire Productions in 2000, when she feigned work as an associate producer and actor on the The Night Shift. After working as a producer on numerous films and television shows, she finally decided that film school might be a good idea so she could sound like she knew what she was talking about. She graduated from Zaki Gordon Institute with a major in documentary filmmaking and is currently plodding after a masters in international affairs.

JESSICA BAXTER

Jessica fled Richmond, VA in 1996 and came to the Northwest to escape a life of gunracks and pickup trucks. She felt strangely at home in Tacoma before moving to the Big City in 2001. Her degrees include English, Video Production and 98. In addition to her work with Gadzook, she has made several films with Faye Hoerauf under the moniker of Tangent Productions.

FAYE HOERAUF

Faye Hoerauf grew up on an apple orchard in Wenatchee , WA , though she is not, in fact, an apple. She began her directing career at the age of 10, when she wrote and directed an acclaimed musical presentation on the American Revolution for her 5 th grade history class. After reluctantly turning 18, she traveled to Tacoma , WA to attend the University of Puget Sound , where she ate many bagel sandwiches and graduated with a degree in Creative Writing. It was also there that she met and joined forces with Jessica Baxter to form Tangent Productions in 2000. Since then, the two have been steadily collaborating on film, theatre and craft projects. |
ELIZABETH HEILE
Director of Financing
Elizabeth Heile supports GadZook Films with financial and contracts management and investor relations. She has over 15 years experience in defining marketing, sales and operational strategies, and in assessing financial stability, structural alternatives and implementation plans for young and evolving organizations. She is the founder of Philanthropy Communications Group, a communications strategy firm providing customized outreach solutions for non profit organizations. In addition, she has experience in fundraising and community relations. Prior to her work in media and communications, Elizabeth managed production, consulting and customer service functions within divisions of national financial services consulting companies, including the Frank Russell Company and William M. Mercer Consulting, Inc., creating investment strategies for institutions and individuals. Elizabeth volunteers with the Northwest Film Forum in fund development and human resources strategy, and she is a past volunteer business coach through Seattle's Social Investors Forum. She holds a B.A. in Behavioral Science from Rice University, and an M.B.A. with a Finance and Marketing concentration from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA.

SPENCER FORNACIARI
Associate Producer, Special Projects | IMDB
Spencer is responsible for helping out with whatever tasks need to be done. At the moment he is spending his time preparing the series, The Night Shift , for release on DVD. In addition to his work at Gadzooks he has worked as a production assistant on the independent feature, Cthulhu , staring Tori Spelling and the sci-fi short, Wireless , which recently was accepted into the Sci-Fi Short Film Festival. The near future has him acting as the assistant director on a music video from the local Seattle punk band, Fall From Grace. He is a He has a BA in psychology from the University of Washington . |
